The History of the AquaSocks.......
More than 6 years ago, Scott Goodyear, President and CEO of Sludgebuster Detailing and Diesel Fuel Polishing had a flash of inspiration......
. He had spent many hours in South Florida, operating his Sludgebuster equipment and He soon learned what a lot of people didn't know. Namely that diesel fuel is organic, and unlike gasoline, can actually be restored to useful life by applying proper procedures and using the correct equipment. Equipment in his primary business of restoration of diesel fuel for the marine industry. Over time, diesel fuel left sitting in a tank can actually grow into a sludge-like substance that can clog fuel lines, plug injectors, ruin fuel pumps and result in very costly repairs. As it turns out, water is the food that creates and feeds the sludge. Water can enter a fuel system through condensation, high humidity conditions, structural flaws in the tank, external leaks in filler ports or simply a bad load of fuel. As Scott treated thousands of gallons of contaminated diesel fuel, he realized two things: One, his thriving business was primarily a result of water intrusion and contamination in diesel fuel tanks; and, Two, that he was not able to help the numerous customers who needed help in eliminating water from their corrupted gasoline tanks. That's when the old light bulb went off in Scott's head. If water could easily be removed from fuel tanks before it caused sludge in diesel tanks and damaging conditions in gasoline fuel tanks....everything from household generators, to mega diesel yachts and heavy construction equipment, then he would be out of business! But wait....If he could devise an inexpensive, relatively fool-proof means of extracting water from all of that bad diesel fuel and gasoline, he would end up with a bigger and better business that could save individuals a "boatload" of money! Scott then focused all of his energy into developing the AquaSocks, which is now in production and available to the general public. The technology that powers the AquaSock is a special water-removing chemical that is contained in a weighted, sock-like bag, that has been designed to be inserted into an accessible filler inlet of a fuel tank, where it rests on the tank bottom (where the water is always present, it being denser and heavier then fuel) for 24 hours. Using the retrieval string provided, the customer removes the water-only soaked, and now swollen sock, thereby eliminating the destructive water from the tank.
